ShipInspection offers comprehensive ship inspection and pre-purchase inspection services in all Indian ports, ensuring vessels meet safety and quality standards.

Our inspections verify the compliance of ships for Greener Oceans. We check Carbon emissions, Sulphur-dioxide emissions, Nitrogen-dioxide emissions by verifying the vessels for CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator) calculations, EGCS (Exhaust Gas Scrubber System), SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), SOx file, VLSFO (Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) usage onboard and NOx Technical file.

Other environmental protection devices such as BWMS (Ballast Water Management System), OWS (Oily Water Seperator), ODME (Oil Discharge Monitoring Device) in Oil tankers, Incinerator, Stern tube lubrication for VGP compliance (Water cooled, using environmentally friendly lubricating oil or using Air seal unit) etc checked during inspection.

Our inspections involve checking for Energy Efficiency of the vessels by verifying OMM (Onboard Management Manual), IMO DCS (Data Collection System), SEEMP (Ship Energy Effficiency Management Plan) Part I, Part II and PartIII.

We also check for other energy saving designs of the vessels such as fitting of forward or aft bow thrusters, Mewis duct (Pre-swirl device), Boss cap fins (Post-swirl device), Stabiliser fins, X-Bow, Wind assisted propulsion like Flettner rotor, EPL (Engine Power Limitation), ShaPoLi (Shaft Power Limitation) etc.

We check one or two Ballast tanks (if available), one or two Cargo holds/ tanks (from tank top level) if available, one or two Cargo cranes from inside as main scope of inspection. Previous photos of Ballast tanks, Cargo holds/Tanks, Hull and Decks are collected from the vessel if available.

Other areas of inspection includes Hull, Decks (main, forward, aft), Deck stores, Bosun store, Deck machineries such as windlass, mooring winches, hydraulic power pack, fittings, pipelines, lifting devices such as Cargo cranes, Provision cranes, Bunker davits, Lifeboat davit, Liferaft davit, Hatch covers/coamings (Bulk carrier), Grabs (Bulk carrier), Pump room (Oil tanker), Compressor room (Gas carrier), LSA (Life Saving Appliances), FFA (Fire Fighting Appliances), CO2 room (if fitted), Foam room (if fitted), Emergency generator room, Oxygen/Acetylene rooms,SOPEP (Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan) locker, Fire station, Paint store, Accommodation exterior/interior, Air condition room, Gymnasium, Hospital, Galley and provision stores, Mess rooms, Smoke rooms, Lobby, Cabins, Laundry/drier rooms, CCR (Cargo Control Room), Ship's office, Bridge and equipments, Bridge wings, Compass deck, Battery room, external decks, Engine room and machineries, Steering gear room and escape trunk.

Photos of above inspected areas will be provided in segregated folders.

All ship's trading certificates and important documents will be collected in soft copies. All class certificates will be verified and latest class status report will be checked for any "Condition of Class" or "Memo/Recommendations".

Important records like Engine Log book, Bridge Log book, Ballast Record book, Garbage Record book, Oil Record book, GPS Log book, GMDSS Log book etc will be verified during the inspection.

We use our own Checklists, Photo folder and Report format for Final Reporting.

However we are happy to use client's Checklists, Photo folder arrangement and Report format for Final Reporting upon request from the clients.

We provide a Defect List for every vessel we inspect upon completion of the inspection to the client for better understanding the present condition of the vessel.
